Hi - for the boy you mentioned, as his mom is Singaporean, wondering if he is also SG citizen or PR? we are in similar situation here - our son is a HKSAR passport holder, whereas his Dad holds SG passport. i know SIS gives priority to the kids who is SG citizen or PR, but not sure whether that works in our case as my son did not take up SG citizenship.

But he was still accepted. However, they decided that it may not be the best fit for them and opted for ESF.

No I don't think they have PR. Another friend who is also Singaporean transferred her children to SIS. I don't think they have PR either.

    thanks a lot ESFMum

that is good news to hear - we are keen to send him to SIS but was a bit worried that given his father is Singaporean but he is not either PR/SG citizen, will they affect his chance of getting into the school... looks like it is ok from your friends's case. thanks! btw are any of your friends' children you mentioned boys? (just curious if they treat boy and girl differently as male citizen or PR need to go back to SG for army when they grew up).
