I have recently found out my 4yr old daughter's next class at a bi-lingual school will contain at least 26 students. Currently her class is 14 and seems to be learning Mandarin quite well. No one at home speaks Mandarin and I feel this larger size class could have an impact on her learning.
I have mentioned to her class teacher that I felt parents should have been advised of this change and am meeting with the School Principal on Monday. Many other parents in my daughter's class have said they are unhappy with the situation and have even phoned to speak to the Principal who says she is not going to issue any sort of notification about the new classroom size.
Is there anyone here who is both a parent & in the teaching industry reading this who can convey their thoughts on whether I have a right to be worried about this?
Thanks for your replies
