    Thoughts on KCIS...

Considering sending my 3 and 4 year old to KCIS and maybe later to the local stream. We are a western family and plan on staying in HK for a long time. How is the Putongua in the international section? Do you think two blonde-haired, blue-eyed kids would get teased much?
Also considering going the Cantonese route.
    Any thoughts would be helpful.
    Thanks!

Why not the local stream to start with? Kids are sponges, they will learn very quickly.

I have several yellow-haired ones and we started them off with Cantonese at Lingnan and then they were off to KCS (local section). They are now all fully trilingual.

There are plenty of non-chinese faces at KCS. I would not expect any teasing.

Thanks for that. I'm feeling more confident in my decision to go local...now to find a school. We live in Stanley so I will check around here and also look at Lingnan.

My friend's daughter is at P6 in the local primary session. Her daughter is not so good in Math last year. The form teacher ask her to hire a private tutor. Isnt this should be the teacher's responsibility to tell the parent how they can help the child? So next year she decided to send her daughter to the international session.
