    Petits Lascars / French International

Hi All - Question for the French speaking expat moms - who want their children to follow a French curriculum - what's your solution? My daughter has a place in K3 at FIS and in the meantime i have signed her up for Petits Lascars on Wellington - close to home. Turns out they go up to 3rd grade and offer a French / English curriculum.

To me Petits Lascars could be a good alternative given that FIS has unresolved campus issues - do you think I should just have her continue there and delay her admission to the FIS to later years? I am concerned as i spoke to other mothers whose 4-5 year olds are subject to 45 minute long bus ride to school which leaves them exhausted. Feel it's a lot for kids that small just to use brightly colored crayons & leaves no time for them to do other things besides travel back and forth. Also no one knows where their kid will end up - some got sent to Kowloon, others to Jardine Lookout. Bit confusing.

On the other hand don't want to lose a place.

Are there any mothers with kids at Petits Lascars? Would love to know what your feedback is and if you think it's a good programme. They sound fine to me but i really haven't experienced much so far!

hi Just saw your ad today, where did your kid end up? My son went to LPL, teacher are very nice. But LPL school management has issues. If you decided to goto LPL, be careful their withdrawing deadline date. Otherwise they will keep your deposit without sending any reminder.

My daughter went to FIS, she loves it, shcool bus very convenient. good luck.

Hi Fanxi - my daughter is at LPL and YES admin leaves something to be desired. But it's very good and she'll stay there until she goes to FIS for MS (K2). Although she is far down the waiting list and apparently they don't interview all the kids for the bilingual section which is a little annoying but they did say that if they often switch kids from one section to the other depending on situations.
School bus is part of the whole experience I suppose! As everyone does it, why not...
Thanks for getting back to me.
