    Questions ask on interview?

My son will have his interview this year for primary next year, he is extremely shy/quiet if it's his first time meeting someone, not answering quetions at all. I'm preparing him now on questions that commonly ask.

I enrolled him for his k3 this year, one school teacher asked him few questions which he never answered at all, he just nod, so the school did not call me back anymore. Another school teacher let him do puzzles, asked him to pick the shape, color, count, etc. which he all passed with flying colors, then the teacher started asking him and he replied. We know that he doesn't like new environment but i need to condition him that it's interview season soon. Any idea what do they ask aside from personal questions like name, age, where do you live, what school, etc?

    Thanks.

At ESF they interview the kids in groups and not individually. Have a read through this thread for details on ESF. Good luck

You'll do far better prepping him to be around other children and different adults than necessarily preparing him for "what is your favorite color, which is the triangle, etc". You might consider some playgroups such that he gets used to interacting with others and different care-givers.

At our best interview, my shy son was getting ready to go in and I told the teacher "if he gets shy, just talk about trains" (which is something my son just loves). I guess they did because he did very well at that interview despite his unsuccessful assessments at other schools.
