Educational Assistant at ESF schools (salary/pgde studies)

Does anyone know the current salary range for Educational Assistants at ESF schools? I am interested in applying for a full-time position. I have a CELTA and teaching experience with adult learners. I don't have a PGDE but would like to enroll in a program on a part-time basis. Are ESF schools generally supportive of Educational Assistants studying on a p/t basis, or could that be problematic?

I would appreciate any any information you have on this. Thank you!

Last I checked a couple of years ago the salary was approx $120/hr. I think the school would be indifferent if you enroll in a program. I guess it could be a problem if it interfered with school hours?

Current rate f pay is $139 p/h for part time contracts which are a max of17.5 hrs a week. There is no holiday pay and no health/dental/ Full time is $15000 a month with 10 months pay and medical and dental.

EA roles are VERY competitive think 300 applicants for 1 job. Ensure your application is of the highest quality, communication why you want to work in special education. Not all candidates have previous education experience but will have exceptional skills in a valued field (think MA in Fine Arts). RESEARCH the school and if you get an interview - PREPARE ESF expect very high standards of their EAs remembering they work with some of the most vulnerable and needy students.
