Anyone want to share tuition costs for Year 4 child (8 yrs old)

My daughter is on a few waiting lists and currently has 15 hours of tuition a week from 3 brilliant tutors. It is, however, very expensive, so would love to share the costs rather than cut the hours. I am paying $9000 per week which is crippling so need a solution quickly. She is doing the British Curriculum and is waiting for a Year 4 place. Please contact me if you would like to join! I live on Tai Tam Road.

Try getting her into a local school. If you've been here a while she should have some Chinese ability. If not, the EDB has a programme for non-Chinese speaking children for about 6 months, where they are taught basic Chinese skills, and they may also help you in finding a school. There are also some local schools on HK Island which take NCS children and they are free. The EDB website should help you with this.

Wow! 9000 a week? Thats some serious money.

I've used many tutors over the past 10 years, at times multiple tutors per day as I have 3 kids going thru Chinese education (we the parents dont have any Chinese). The most I've paid has been $150/hr.

Now, we are down to a single university student helping us out at $100/hr. These tutors of yours must be really brilliant to justify $9000 per week.

Howardcoombs... Where do you find your tutors? Am thinking about switching mine to the local the system after Year 1 at RC. So we are looking for a Chinese tutor to come everyday. Thanks!

I've found them previously from word of mouth but the last one (with us for the past 2 years) was found from an online source. There is a local website that lists all types of tutors available. I cannot recall the name of the website but if you are interested, please let me know and I'll dig it out.
