Please advise for my three year old

Our son is three years old and he has good memory. He can read more then 500 words and knows how to spell them. He is good with numbers too. He also remembers birthdays and telephone numbers of all our friends. Compared to his friends of his own age we think he is a bit advance. We would like to know how could we guide him to learn things so that he can excel with the gift he has. We got a lot of books fro him but he would not like to sit and read them. He lacks a bit of concentration. He can read a lot however he would never sit down and complete reading a story and allow us to read it to him page by page. We are not sure that whether he is going to continue to like the numbers and reading but we just want to try our best.

I recommend letting him follow his interests. Don't make him read if he doesn't want to. I know some kids who were reading very early (3 or 4) and others who learned later (5 or 6 or even 7) and by the time they were 8 or 9, it was difficult to tell any difference.

Since he has a short attention span, instead of reading long stories, why not read him nursery rhymes and short poems. Sing him songs and play w/ him.

If he has a good memory, he might enjoy a game called "Concentration".

Take a regular deck of cards and put them in a regular pattern, face down on the floor. Take turns turning over the cards (two at a go) and try to get matches (e.g. 2 7s, or 2 queens). Whoever gets the most matches wins.

With numbers, play games that have guessing things like... have 5 stones and have him close his eyes and then put three under a rice bowl and have him open his eyes and let him see the 2 remaining. "How many are there under this rice bowl?".

If he goes to K-1, maybe ask the teacher for suggestions.

Also, what toys does he like? Duplo is great for developing spatial knowledge. Dolls like transformers or Playmobil are great for his imagination.
