Charity for kids helping other kids

Hi everyone. Recently, I have been thinking of joining volunteer group(s) for me and my son. I want him to grow up with a strong sense of social responsibility. Can anyone please advise which group to join? I am thinking of something like charities specifically helping children. It would be better if it can be hands-on, like visiting sick children etc. Thanks in advance...

community advice bureau might be able to assist.
home of loving faithfulness might be an answer. on sundays, they need people to cook meals for the children and residents, since their cooking staff has a day off. HOLF is a great organisation. i know a couple of people who cook there on sundays and they take their children with them.

    hope this helps.

Thanks, dimsum mum. This sounds great. I will definitely look into it.

What school is your son in?

My Rotary club sponsors the Interact group in West Island and the Interactor (student volunteers) have been doing an awesome job helping kids in a local school in Ap Lei Chau with their English skills.

More info about the Interact can be found here ( Rotary.org: Interact )

Drop me a note through [email protected] if this sounds interesting and I can check with the Rotary Club in your area to see if there is an Interact club in your son's school.

I was an Interactor once and had lots of opportunities doing community services - cleaning the old folks home, visiting disabled kids and orphans....
