    Woodland Vs Sunshine House (Pokfulam)

Anyone has any ideas of Woodland and Sunshine House? My children are 2.5 years old and get admitted by both schools. Not sure which one is better and appreciate your opinion. Thanks.

I looked at both schools back then and liked Woodlands better. I thought the Pokfulam Sunshine in Chi Fu was a little dark, etc. in terms of premises, but liked the curriculum. However, in the end we ended up on the south side and I liked Sunshine in Tai Tam way more than Woodlands. Woodlands here is Montessori and I am not a big fan of that (I went through Montessori high school so I have personal experience). My daugther continued into ESF and I think the transition from Sunshine into ESF is better and smoother than Woodlands into ESF since Sunshine is slightly more traditional in terms of curriculum. Also ESF seems to have good experience/relationship with Sunshine and they always visit the school here prior to Y1 interviews but they don't visit Woodlands, at least not here (they usually look at the total number of applicants from a school).

It appears you have twins (me too) and you may want to look / think about which school would be able to split them (at some point) and which can't if that's what you'd prefer.

I totally agree that I need to split them. Mine is one girl and one boy and they have their own little world and highly dependent on each other.

    Cheers

Mine are boy / girl too. They have been in their own bedroom since 13 months, they were split at preschool, but then I moved schools and they only have 1 class for each year, so in K1 and K2 they have been together, but they will be separated for Primary this August. My girl is the stronger personality one, so I think it will do both a lot of good to have them in different classes.

    Hi,

Just wondering which ESF school you switched to after Sunshine in Tai Tam?

    Cheers

If you live in Tai Tam, you'll feed into QBS but there are also some kids from Stanley at Sunshine and they would feed into Bradbury. We live in Tai Tam.
