I just went for a visit and must say was impressed by Dr Jadis, the Managing Director. She seems to know a lot about education and is implementing good practice at Harbour school. She is a Montessori teacher herself and her method is to individualise teaching with a hands-on approach. The atmosphere is very homely, does not look anything like a concrete giant school at all. They use British Curriculum as benchmark for learning, but use their own techniques. They "pull-out" students to teach individually when they have difficulty, they also recognise talented students and put them through talent programs. The only downside is the venue is very small and there is one tiny courtyard, which in my opinion is quite polluted. They do take the kids to nearby sports centre though.
