HKIS vs Kennedy

Hi Everyone My name is Nicky and I'm moving to Hong Kong in the summer. Could anyone give me advice or their honest opinion, good or bad about HKIS and Kennedy School. My son is 8 and we are moving from the US. Any help with deciding which school would suit him best would be very gratefully received!

Nicoletta, Both schools follow a different curriculum. If you're coming from the US and plan on returning there soon, it maybe best to stick with an American school and go with HKIS. Recently met an American mum who's son was from a small school in the US and had a hard time adjusting to Kennedy which is a large school with 30 kids in a class. Fortunately he made it through a year and managed to transfer to HKIS where he is thriving.

If you have a chance to visit HK before the move, see if you can visit the schools. Best of luck with your decision.
