    Nord Anglia Education Non Profit School in Lam Tim opening in September 2014

    The Hong Kong Government has awarded a vacant school lot in Lam Tim to Nord Anglia Education. New to Hong Kong, Nord Anglia Education has over 40 years of experience and currently operates 14 schools globally with neighbouring schools in Shanghai and Beijing.

    The Nord Anglia Education school will open its doors in September 2014, after a comprehensive renovation. The school will follow the UK curriculum and plans to offer 660+ places from Y1-Y8 (primary to lower secondary). Globally, Nord Anglia Education boasts a low teacher to pupil ratio of 1:9 and 1:11 and small class sizes of 16-22.

    To demonstrate their commitment to Hong Kong, Nord Anglia plan on giving back to the community by training local teachers. The Lam Tim campus will be a Training School and over professional development to over 250 teachers annually. In addition, at the request of the HK Government the school will operate as a non-profit. Although it’s too early to announce school fees, Philippe Lagger, Development Director of Nord Anglia Education has confirmed the fees will be competitive compared to Hong Kong’s top schools and their aim is not to be the most expensive school in Hong Kong.

    I'm looking for schooling to my two daughters;

    Ms Nagashree - DoB 3 Jan 2005 and is a Downs Syndrome kid. Sweet and well mannered kid, writing skills need to be developed yet. Else, she is interested in studies, music and art.

    Ms Sharada - DoB 27 Feb 2008. Presently she's doing her Senior Kindergarten here in Mumbai.

    My family is expected to join me at HK Dec/Jan and I'm expected to be HK by June. Wife is doing a course on Special Education and would like to be associated with a school/institution to train special kids.

    Kindly let me know the admission formalities and fees structure.

    Warm regards
