Rosebud? Delia (Tsing Yi)? Delia (Mei Foo)?

Anyone have any experience of these schools? I have a little guy starting P1 next year and am at a loss for what to do with him. We've already been rejected from our first choice and are back to the drawing board. We didn't really expect to be here this long and didn't get caught up in the tutorial lessons and 'extra-curricular' activities needed to boost his 'resume' to get into a lot of schools (He's 4, for Christ's sake!)

Any thoughts on those mentioned above, or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Just looking for somewhere warm and friendly, that won't send us bankrupt.

    Thanks!

My son is studying in Rosebud, tuition is as 2012-2013 is 3,000HKD/month and every term you have to pay 2,000 HKD for books, uniform and field trips, so a total of 34,000 for the whole school year. And they are increasing again next school year. Delia tsing yi is a lot cheaper than delia mei foo. delia tsing yi is only 670HKD/ month.you have to pay for books and uniform.delia mei foo is arounf 2800/month not including books, uniform and stationary.i hope it will help.

We've had 2 boys in Rosebud previously and 1 now. Originally was quite a bit cheaper and all-inclusive, and a very "family" feel. Also small class sizes. Now the headmaster has changed, the prices have shot up, and the "feel" of the school seems to be changing - more professional and systemised on the one hand, but I'm getting the impression it's not as caring and focussed on the children as before. We're certainly taking a look at alternatives such as Delia... we'd be very interested to hear some feedback from Delia Tsing Yi parents...

I would check out the Gulen movement schools being investigated in the USA. Ask Rosebud about their link to this group. Rosebud is listed as a Gulen Movement school.

After researching you can decide if you want to enrol in the school.

    Hi,

I will be moving on to Hong Kong in August'15,. I have 2 kids & they will be going to Grade 3 during next year. Please let me know about schools that are affordable & have English as a medium of instructions.

I have two sons studying in Rosebud P1 and P4. Beside increase in school fee, I can see improvement in quality of education year by year. I move from China to Hong Kong just for the education of my kids and I think Rosebud is right choice. I believe you will find warm and friendly environment at Rosebud Primary School. The only question mark is where you live and how you get to Rosebud.I hope it helps.
