Hi,
Can anyone tell me how easy/hard it is to get your children into this school? Any comments about the school is welcome and greatly appreciated.

Canadian International School does not keep a waiting list. They accept applications up to November every year for the following year. Then they sort and list them. They do conduct interviews and prefer native English speaking kids (or as good as). I understand there are more applicants than they can accept, but you could call them and ask.
I have always found them very forthcoming with information and the school has an excellent reputation. their Manadarin program is supposedly excellent, but their French not quite there (so definitely a typical ex-Quebec Canadian school).

I understand they conduct "School Tour" for interested parents every Tuesday morning. You can ring them to make arrangement.
My name is Karen Mazurkewich and I'm a journalist with the Asian Wall Street Journal. I'm working on a story about pre-school education programs, and am interested in talking to parents about their experiences. In particular, I'd like to hear comments from parents who have sent their children to pre-schools and have experiences they'd like to share.

The CDNIS has again won the "Best International School" of the year by the HKBM 2007. Check out their website at www.cdnis.edu.hk
The CDNIS school campus no doubt are one of the very best in terms of its facility, IT, the new 90M Art Complex to be finished by end of 2007. Not idea about the quality of the school teacher there but at least the facility is really fantastic that is worth it. Compare to the school fees and debenture you paid over at CIS, I dont think the facility and size of campus are ANYWHERE near CDNIS. However, CIS hire TOP - Grade A teacher from Top US university such as Standford, MIT, Harvard MBA which is something other IS doesnt have. Every IS has its pros and cons, I guess you have to visit the school and get a feel about the school culture etc. For what I seen so far, kids at the CDNIS and HKIS are really cheerful and happy in the playground compare to GSIS/ESF/SIS. Though GSIS/SIS has an excellent academic results but there is NO way I would send my kids to the school - just a personal choice.
