Kellett wait list for 2012 sept

My son is currently wait listed for 2012 sept reception class for Kellett. I am told that he is currently at the top 10 position on the wait list. We have no debentures or siblings priorities. What is the chance of getting an offer between now and sept (about 6 month)? Does anyone have any experience of such or heard from their friends?

We have heard that there are a fair number of layoffs in progress in the financial sector and have been told by a number of people to wait and watch as the situation will change between now and August as many expats withdraw applications or give up their places.

I can only go by our experience at the Canadian school last year. We were also in the top 10 (I think 9 or 10) on the wait list as of, well about now--April. We got the call about six weeks later offering us a spot.

I would think your chances are probably pretty good if you are in the top ten (remember, not everyone who gets the call off the wait list accepts--many have already paid non-refundable deposits to other schools by then).

fwiw I think many bank contracts are June-June (or July-July) so come the end of school a number of families will find out if they have been renewed or made redundant. I would expect quite a bit of movement.

Hi, Penguinsix. I sent you a PM. Could you please check it? Thank you very much.
