My two daughters attend CDNIS and we have been delighted with the school for the last four years. As a teaching establishment, it provides a 'through-train' from Pre-Reception to Grade 12. Students graduate with the IB diploma and can additionally gain credits for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma.
Located in Abderdeen, CDNIS boasts fantastic facilities including an indoor swimming pool and the new Leo Lee Arts Centre, a very popular venue for shows. Academically, the students achieve superb results year after year with Mandarin strongly supported as a second language.
We love the school because it is a warm and friendly place where our children love to go. Communication between staff and parents is a priority and class sizes are comfortable. CDNIS thrives on its close-knit community and parents are largely involved in events and activities from crazy hat day to Halloween parades.
One drawback is the difficulty in attaining an entry spot for your child. CDNIS continues to grow in popularity and so many applicants, unfortunately, leave disappointed.
