    Chinese Program

Any parents currently with kids in primary school at HKIS could give me any comments on their Chinese program? I know they have two streams - one for Chinese as a second language and one for families who speak Chinese at home. I am interested to know how many hours of Chinese the kids do a day in school and also how well the kids can speak. Thanks!

I've only heard passing remarks from other parents (Chinese and Western) and the comments were along the lines of "not much...". If you are serious about Chinese fluency, HKIS is not the right place to look at.

ISF, SIS, CIS, KCS are the ones you should consider on Hong Kong island; they all have different methods of teaching but when kids come out of those they will have decent fluency in Chinese.
