    P1 interview letter recevied

The waiting game has begun. Just received a letter from one of the international schools notifying the interview date. I am getting nervous already. Any parent out there can share what to do to get the child ready? I don't even know what to expect. We are moving to Hong Kong next Jan., I am sure my 2 and 4 year old are going to be in quite a culture shock. Instead of sending them straight to a regular kimdergarten, I am thinking maybe send them to a English playgroup which also teach them something academically. Is there any such playgroup in Hong Kong? I will in living on the Hong Kong side so if you know any playgroup like that, I appreciate your input.

International school interviews are easy - don't worry! Before we moved our son to a local independent school, we also tried an international school for a year. They asked him four simple questions: what is your name, how old are you, do you have a brother/sister and how old is he/she? Then they asked him to describe a couple of pictures.

Although he attended a bilingual Mandarin/English international school, we took the plunge to put him into a all Mandarin local independent school (KCS). He's had no difficulty with the transition. Before that, we were living in Singapore, where he attended a Mandarin/English kindergarten and an English montessori playgroup before that.

We're on the HK side, too. We have a 5 and a 2 year old, and we're expecting a third anytime in the next 1-2 weeks. We're in Western Mid-levels on the HK side. PM if you want to get together. Good luck!
