For kindergarten, we didn't like it.
Of the 9 places we visited, it came in at #8.
And my wife, who is more connected than I am, has heard nothing but negatives on the place.
i am looking to send my kids there as well but they are older. grade 10 and grade 12. met with the guidance counselaur yesterday and did a tour of school. honestly i did not think it was that bad. we lived in abu dhabi for awhile and the schools there are horrible, nothing but one big money grab. the class size is small..only 67 kids in this yrs graduating class. certainly space is a problem but thats a problem for most schools in hk. their SAT scores were actually good and the universities that the kids are going to is also quite good. i know from reading some forums that people have a problem with it, but i wish they would say exactly what the negatives are. because it is an american system and not a british or IB system, the style of education of different. IB is nothing but tons of homework to memorize everything and then you take a test after 2 yrs. where as american is a constant grading and testing with more emphasis on free thinking. for most locals, this is not the qualities of a good school. hong kong is filled with tales of parents going to schools and demanding more homework for their kids. so take that into consideration. if u are sending kids to ivy league schools then you are doing something right. over 85% of the graduates are going to university. compare that to a public school in the usa.
