Does anyone else know of people were were offered places for the later interview dates?

I also know of some people who went for interviews at Hillside last Friday, 10th Feb (I assume for the waiting list). These were people who were sent interview letters but missed their scheduled interview for various reasons (child was sick on interview day, they were out of HK when letter was received, etc).

Who knows how it works??? Maybe they didn't think my son was suitable and it's a polite way of saying, "find him another school" even though the letter said he was successful in the interview.

Atomic, do you know your number on the waiting list?
    Hi Pinkballerina
I called the school, you can't know what number you are on the waitlist. They wont tell you mainly because it will confuse a lot of people. Read my post for a more elaborate explanation, and hopefully some answers to your questions. This is what i was told when i called in today.

l also asked if we would be told once all the spots were filled. And basically she said usually by April, they should have their final numbers and will keep in touch with the waitlisted parents to let them know, and to find out if they want to be kept on the waiting list. ...
    zanazo, you are my angel!

Jasmine is on leave, did Sue (not her assistant) tell you the number "240"? Not 230 I heard last week, and not 220 we heard during the presentation? This number 240 means 200 offers have been sent out prior last Friday because the Entry Waitlist is only 40 rows long. And that we are in the top 20 of the Entry Waitlist now as our # must not be higher than 220.

Did you ask how many offers will be sent out this week and next week? Just in case you don't know, last Friday was the deadline to accept the offers sent on 2/February.

Hopefully, we all get an offer by April.

    Hi atomic
Sorry I didn't get the name of the girl I spoke to, but yes she gave me the number 240. Yes I think they have already started giving offers to people on the waiting list because she mentioned end of February as deadline (I'm guessing for a batch of recently waitlisted parents). On this I can only speculate though as I didn't ask more questions. Whatever the case, I guess we'll know by (or hopefully before) April.

Good luck to you, update us if you hear anything.

    Moved up from Entry waitlist

We just received offer and acceptance letter from ESF Hillside Kindy today! We're offered the PM session, which happens to work out well for us since my daughter's been in PM Nursery the past year.
