Glenealy's waiting list hardly moved last year as far as I heard. I know of at least one person in my building whose child is on the waiting list and still doesn't have a place for the upcoming year.

Have you looked into the new primary school SmallWorld is opening up in Mid-Levels next year on Bridges St? (They currently have a kindergarten in Borrett Road) - I think the school will be called 'Island Christian Academy' ... anyone confirm this?

Even though it hasn't opened yet, there already seems to be a lot of positive vibe about it. I know a couple of parents who didn't get Glenealy interviews who are looking into it. I'm not sure whether they have places open yet or not but perhaps it would be something to consider.

Island Christian Academy is supposed to open in Sept 2012. Not sure if they're still on schedule.

    Yes, definitely worth applying to.

If you are interested in this school, then you should send in a registration of interest form as soon as possible (not formally called an application form as they are still waiting for certain government departmental approvals) as I understand that there will only be two primary one classes of 22 students each and they already have more applications than places.

You can find all the IB schools here:

    International Baccalaureate

    Program: PYP
    Country: Hong Kong

On reviewing that, I can see the following as non ESF schools which many might not consider.

Sears Rogers, Hong Loke Yuen, Kingston International, Parkview International School, Victoria.

Not sure how updated the list is, but search for MYP does not return a number of schools in the ESF system.

I can see a school called "Creative Secondary School" which seems to be a DSS school offering both IB and localized streams.

There are more DSS / local schools offering IB if you continue searching. These include DBS Kiangsu, Po Leung Kuk, St Pauls.

You can find more info on DSS schools here: EDB - Direct Subsidy Scheme schools including a list of schools EDB - Direct Subsidy Scheme

The comittee on Home School co-op has a list of all schools here:
