    KCIS or CDNIS or Victoria

My child currently attends Victoria K1 and I am extremely disappointed on the education mission of this school and how they treat kids. It is 100% for profit and the school / teachers do not put the kids' needs as a priority and not caring at all. I therefore want to withdraw my child from Victoria and switch to either kcis or cdnis. My child's mother tongue is English and understands mandarin too but not fluent yet. My goal is to find a school that is mainly English but offers good amount of mandarin. I know both Kcis and cdnis have only around 40 mins of mandarin each day which is not sufficient. Since we are not happy at Victoria, these are the other two options that are available at this point in time. Does anyone have comments in cdnis or kcis? Thank you.

    Hi Bbcoco,
I am sorry to hear you are not happy with Victoria. But as you said in your post, while considering CDNIS and KCIS, the Mandarin programs at these schools are not "sufficient", so you probably want to look at other schools that will meet your needs. Take a look at CIS or ISF as they offer bilingual programs. Good luck!

    Hi Bbcoco,

Ane Murphy of ITS Education saw your post and has shared her advice:

Maybe you’d like to consider the local stream at KCS. Tutor Time and the International Montessori School deliver very reputable bilingual programs and their classes are very structured. CDNIS only teaches Mandarin as a second language and gives priority for interviews to Canadian Passport holders, siblings and children nominated under a debenture.
